SCHOOLS'  BIRTHDAY  MESSAGE :-

MGD is 64 years old today. The MGD Girls' Guild members join the present MGDians in celebrating this occassion.

A School, of the stature and reputation of MGD, is not built in a day! It has taken all these years of dedication and single minded commitment by many, to create the distinctive aura and reputation that we all enjoy today and are so proud of. Belonging to MGD is special, this in turn, involves a special kind of responsibility! A responsibility to live up to the ideals and sacred values that form the foundation of MGD. These are as important to those that were here before and you, who are here now! To maintain the traditions and the quality based education imparted in the past and as is being imparted today.

We rededicate and renew our resolve to transmit our School, not less, but greater, better  and  more beautiful than it was transmitted to us. This pledge applies to all, the present MGDians  and  to  us who  have in more ways than one based our lives, outside the school, on the guidelines that we grew with here..

Times change, society changes, one has to move with these factors at play; but believe me, what does not change is the way you interpret and uphold the values you have grown up in the formative years of your school days. Their impact is deep  and  indelible.

The values you uphold in life determine the quality of your mind, the quality of your mind determines the quality of your thoughts and that in turn determines the quality of your actions.

All MGDians are collectively the custodians of a rich tradition, a legacy that is in your hands today, so that it is handed over, intact and enriched to future generations, who will in turn carry it further.

On behalf of the MGD Girls' Guild, I wish all  at MGD, the very best, and pray it grows from strength to strength and lives on to greater glory. Long live our dear MGD!!

Dear Dr. Bakshi,
I am at a loss of words to express how lucky we are to have had the opportunity to study at MGD. It has been a wonderful experience for me and I have learnt a lot from my time in the school and hostel.  It has been a defining period in my life and the habits values which I have picked up help me in my day to day living.
I do wish the school many happy returns and all the best in the years to come.
Warm regards

Wish u Dear M.G.D., Mrs Bakshi, all the students and the teachers old and new, on your 64th birthday, on the 12th of August, 2007.
I remember when i came for the 50th one even though there was as illness in the family. but this is the least i could do, to be there for all the festivities and to THANK M.G.D. for instilling values and morals  in me which i value to this day! I am in Canada now or else i would have been there in person to again partake in all the celebrations.

Was born outside of India and my parents decided to send me to MGD so that I could have some exposure to Indian culture and tradition. They could have not made a better choice. MGD was a world so true to our Indian culture and the same time helped me realize  me that I could be anything I wanted to be.
Thank you MGD and wish you a very Happy Birthday.

largely because of my school...and thats what MGD is to me and will always be...a very very part of my growing up years...

The 3 years that I spent at MGD were the happiest  and most fulfilling years of my life.
Several years back when a group of MGDians visited America, I felt like I was back in school, the nostalgia will never leave me.

My dear MGD,
Here's wishing you a very Happy Birthday and many more to come. All memories of 12 years flash across my mind as I write this greeting. I remember we used to sing the school song at the highest pitch and then cheer Miss Lutter, and later Miss Doongaji, the teachers at the end of the assembly on this day. Being in MGD has been the best part of my education and I sincerely hope that under the leadership of Mrs. Bakshi our school will continue to strive for the highest. Congratulations on this day to all the present MGDians.

MGD for me has been a huge bird , from whose nest many of us have flown out over the years and man will continue to do so. and  The bird has spread its wings all over; keeping the bond alive with many who flew out off the nest since 1975.
Hence birthdays are feathers in the broad wing of time. May the bird always soar high in the sky along with its beautiful hatchlings
Many happy returns of the day! ( Sidh Baury)

It is with great pleasure, nostalgia and love that I wish MGD a very happy birthday today.
It's true that parents are responsible for steering their child' present and their future, however it is the school which plays a very important part in developing a child's personality, giving him the lessons for life through the committed teachers, life long friends and most of all 'the' environment of which the student always caries a little part whereever he may live for the rest of his life.
I hope that MGD shall continue to live in many heats and minds for ever.
Thanks for having me as a part of your family MGD, wish you a very very happy birthday.
